Ние създадохме силно и мотивирано партньорство с добавена стойност на всички партньори, чиято роля в проекта е специфична. Различните профилите на нашите организации допринасят не само за справедливото разпределение на задачите, но и значително обогатяват нашите усилия да подсигурим модерното образование с иновативни инструменти, с които ще преодолеем пропастта между ограничените възможности на учебните програми за средното образование, и реалните нужди на младите хора от бъдещо образователно и кариерно развитие.

Авангардната технология доведе до качествено трансформиране на съвременното учене и преподаване. За целите на нашите проектни дейности, и по-конкретно на виртуалната мобилност, ние ще се възползваме от инструмента Celtx Edge, както и всички други подходящи ИКТ. Социалните виртуални платформи значително ще обогатят образователния процес, тъй като целевите групи ще имат редовен достъп до нови видове информация и знания. Този подход ще засили чувството за европейско гражданство - учители и ученици  ще се научат да работят в транснационални екипи.

Някои от планираните дейности включват: презентации на учениците на английски език по време на международните турнири по дебати; творчески театрални изяви; тренинги за учителите за придобиване на специфични умения и знания. В нашите смесени мобилности, участниците ще се включат в различни обучения, уебинари, семинари, социални програми, учебни пътувания и културни събития. Трите транснационални срещи ще се фокусират главно върху проучването на образователните проблеми чрез прилагането на интерактивни дейности, професионален подход, както и други практически възможности. Участниците ще научат повече за успешните демократични практики, младежкото лидерство, социалното предприемачество, творческото решаване на конфликтни ситуации и проблеми; ще придобият умения за социално общуване, толерантност и зачитане на различията; ще заработят в екип и ще се научат да мислят не само критично, но и креативно.

 

Обект на нашата съвместна дейност са различните образователни резултати: знания, емоции, нагласи и умения. За да постигнем целите си, ние ще приложим реципрочния майевтичен подход, метода на проектна дейност, ученето чрез разрешаване на проблеми и методиката на креативната драма. Тези иновативни подходи ще запознаят учениците с основните аспекти на демокрацията: гражданство, разнообразие, човешки права, сътрудничество, борба с предразсъдъците, медийна грамотност.

 

В краткосрочен план сме си поставили за цел да накараме нашите целеви групи от тийнейджъри да споделят на глас това, което ги тревожи, да насърчим тяхното критично и творческо мислене, да разширим познанията им по английски език,  да усъвършенстваме тяхната устна продуктивност и представяне, и, разбира се, да предоставим много забавления и игри, докато решаваме сериозни проблеми.През трите проектни години, ще направим всичко възможно, за да превърнем международното ни сътрудничество в едно приятно изживяване, в което всеки ще се чувства значим.

Дългосрочните цели на това партньорство засягат няколко аспекта от решаващо значение: утвърждаване на положителното лидерство като ролеви модел сред учениците; засилване на водещата роля на ученическия парламенти като медиатор в парадигмата учител-ученик-родител; прилагане на добрите практики в учебно-образователния процес; въвеждане на Европас в училище; бъдещо сътрудничество между партньорските организации след приключване на проектния период.

Bulgaria

‘Ekzarh Yossif I’ Foreign Languages High School has instructed students for over 134 years; formerly being an American College for girls, and now a public foreign language secondary school. The school was established by American missionaries in 1881.

Our school is specialized in languages. 901 students (both boys and girls) learn English, German, Spanish and French from the 8th grade to the 12th grade (aged 14 – 18). In the 8th grade, students study a total of 23 hours a week in the language of their choice. Subsequent years entail 6 hours of study of said language in the fields of biology, chemistry, history and geography along with extensive study of grammar, phonetics and literature. After the 8th grade, students are required to study a second language for 4 hours a week in addition to their primary language studies. Besides languages, our curriculum includes mathematics, computers, geography, history, biology, physics, chemistry, psychology, music, arts, sports, etc. Most of our students continue their higher education at universities in Bulgaria and abroad – mainly in Germany, France, Austria and the USA.

The school features a multifunctional “America for Bulgaria” cinema hall (204 seats) for drama performances, seminars, musical festivals, meetings of the Students’ Parliament, language certificate exams, etc. We also have a special hall for presentations (30 seats), equipped with modern ICT. Four computer labs offer free access to the wireless internet. There are two gyms in the school; the new one has a modern design, and is fully equipped for indoor games. Our English, German and French resource centers were established through cooperation with the governments of the United States, the United Kingdom, Germany and France. On the school territory there are two boarding houses for boys and girls, respectively.

The school has had teachers from Germany and France for over 50 years. It has enjoyed student exchange programs with schools from Germany, for over twenty years, with France for 15 years, with Belgium for 4 years, and with Switzerland for 2 years, with students from said countries visiting Bulgaria, and Bulgarian students visiting their peers in Western Europe.  The school has also had English teachers from Great Britain vis-à-vis the British Council (1993-1998), the United States vis-à-vis the American Peace Corps (1998-2007) and Fulbright (2009-present).

Our school has been of great importance to the region and the country – a lot of politics, diplomats and business people have graduated from our school.

Turkey

FATİH ANADOLU LİSESİ  is one of the remarkable schools in our region (and country).

There are 43 teachers and 589 students in our schools. We have 21 classrooms, 3 science laboratories and one computer laboratory,1 gym, 1 conference hall, one sports ground, 1 library, 1 canteen,

Our students are aged between 15-18. They have classes like English, German, Biology, Maths, Geometry, Philosophy, Geography, PE, Art, Music, Physics, Chemistry Turkish Literature, History and Religion.

In the 9th and 10th classes, they don’t specialize. They all have the same classes. They have 6 hours of English only in the 9th class, in the other classes they have 4 hours. As for German, they have 2 hours in all classes. In the 11th class they specialize. They can either choose the science class or Turkish / Math class changing what they would like to choose in the University. They can also choose language department if they want to become a translator or a language teacher but less and less students are choosing it nowadays. We don’t have a language class this year. (there should be at least 12 students to open a class) Next year if students among this year’s 10th classes choose, we might have a language class. They study English intensively so their English becomes good. But the others don’t have so good English. Only some among them have special interest in English (they read books, watch subtitled or original films, etc.)

Our institution is located in a highly developed part of our country, in the city of MANİSA, on the western part of Turkey. The city has an industrial and agricultural based economic structure.

Our students are very successful from the point of attending the university education. They are generally from economically sufficient families. There is no problem related to the needs of pupils, staff and other persons.

Meanwhile I’d like to give you some information about the policy of education in our institution.

Our vision is to educate the democratic and laic individuals:

·         Who are self-examining, effective and qualified,

·         Living his own values and get them lived,

Our mission is to provide our students the conditions that help:

·         Them regard the events neutrally and many-sided way,

·         Obtain the skills to respond the developing demands of the century,

·         Follow the developing technology and use it,

·         Be an individual inclined to cooperation and group affairs as well as leadership features.

Up to now, our institution has had participation in 2 Comenius projects and an international music festival. We are successful in the domestic affairs as well.

 We want to participate in the international affairs because: We want to learn the European culture very closely as we teach two of the western languages-English and German.

·         Our students force us to develop their cultural, scientific and technological levels as they are well-informed, well-behaved according to the standard level of our country.

·         We want to improve the vision of our students and ourselves getting in touch closely with the European countries, societies and civilization which has been our great target since Mustafa Kemal ATATÜRK –the founder of our republic and the first president.

·         We would like to observe some booklets, brochures, books, CDs and photos which help understand partners of the project reciprocally. First of all, our headmaster and teachers involved in the project are responsible for these properties. But all the teachers are helpful to participate in this international affair which will increase our experience and will be an extremely different experience. The policy is framed by the regulations which are set by the Ministry of Education.

Slovakia

Gymnázium Alejová in Košice was founded in 1988 as a grammar school specialising in Mathematics – with its accelerated advanced math curriculum for talented and gifted students, the second of its type in Slovakia. In 2014 it celebrated its 25th anniversary. After nationwide curriculum reform in 2008 the school keeps to the form of traditional gymnazium with alternative curriculum enabling it to inroduce a greater differenciation and selectivity of school subjects in the last two grades and has a special class and programme for exceptionally talented children. With focus on Math our students traditionally achieve excellent accoplishments in Mathematics, IT , science not only in Slovakia, but also in international competitions.

Students are accepted to school from all over the city and its surrounding villages on the basis of their results in entrance exams or excellent previous academic performance and achievements at primary school. After finishing their studies they take school- leaving exams in four subjects, among which Slovak language and one foreign language are obligatory. The English language is a compulsory subject and in addition students are required to choose a second language : German, French or Russian. Other standardised subjects are History, Civics, Math, Computer Science, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Geography, Ethics, Esthetics/Arts, Physical Education, Descriptive Geometry and Study of Religion..

Currently, our school employs 48 teachers and has 20 classes and 545 students who follow two different programmes:

a)     4 – year study – a traditional grammar school study attended by 14 -19 .year old students serving grades 10 to 13.

b)    8 – year study – a grammar school study for 11 – 19 year – old students. The first four years supplement the second primary education stage performed at primary schools. Nevertheless, it is more demanding and prepares students for the grammar school study in our school and their university studies after Maturita..

The school has run two international educational projects in the last ten years :

Comenius Socrates (2005 – 2007) project  Borderline in the framework of  which we cooperated with six European schools  in Poland, Italy, Romania, Lichtenstein and France.

Dreams and Teams since 2005 till present time  run by the British Council and UK ´s Youth Sports Trust  aiming to develop leadership skills among international young leaders around the globe, through sports. The project.entails  partnership with Ashington Sports High in UK

In their free time, our students work in 30 different  interesting clubs: Logo club, debate, language, various sports clubs, outdoor activities club, Math clubs, programming etc..
Students with literary bent can contribute to the students magazine Galeje or work in. our school radio Prestige.

School has two  conference rooms available for presentations (85 seat and 35 seat ) and five computer labs.

Romania

 “Mihai Eminescu” Technical High School is located in the village of Dumbrăveni, Suceava County, Romania, and it offers educational services for children and adults from Dumbrăveni and nearby villages. The village of Dumbrăveni is situated in a favourable area, on the alluvial plain of the Siret River, 15 kilometres away from the town of Suceava, a place filled with history, where the medieval country of Moldavia was founded. The calling card of the city of Suceava can be none other than the fortress of Stephan the Great and all the other kings from the Muşatini dynasty before him. In the 2013-2014 school year, our school numbers 2017 students, of which 1761 are aged between 6 and 19 and 256 are adults enrolled in reduced frequency high school, specializing in Philology.

Our school pays special attention to educating young people able to adapt to the present requirements of the labour market. In this regard, the school’s offer and the optional courses meet the students’ requirements for education and promoting local, national and European culture and values.

The levels and specializations from “Mihai Eminescu” Technical High School are as follows: preparatory class, primary school, secondary school, high school (theoretical branch, classes specializing in Philology, Intensive Mathematics-Informatics and Mathematics-Informatics), high school (reduced frequency, classes specializing in Philology), high school (technical branch, direct route, specializing as textile industry technicians and maintenance and repair mechanics), professional school (specializing as clothing industry workers and mechanics).

In the 2013-2014 school year, there were 173 students enrolled in 9th grade, of which 92 in the theoretical branch and 81 in the technical branch. Compared with the 2012-2013 school year, there was a rise of 12% in students who chose the technical branch.

The school staff consists of 94 teachers, 6 people in the maintenance department and 11 people in the administrative department. All the teachers are qualified and all the existing positions at the auxiliary staff level are occupied.

The teaching staff is constantly interested in improving themselves, being involved both in obtaining teaching degrees and in attending training courses; this school year, five teachers are scheduled to obtain the highest teaching degree.

In the 2013-2014 school year, the educational process is carried out in six buildings, four housing primary classes and the other two housing the secondary school and high school classes; there are 42 classrooms, of which:

·          5 special classrooms for Mathematics, Romanian, Foreign Languages, History

·         3 laboratories for Physics, Chemistry, Biology

·         5 special classrooms for Informatics

·         1 office for the school counsellor

·         2 workshops for the technical branch classes

·         1 gym

·         3 sports grounds

·         1 library with 22124 books

The classrooms and workshops are equipped with appropriate teaching material and technical equipment.

The five special classrooms for Informatics are equipped with 100 Microsoft licensed computers, connected to the Internet, five licensed servers, other nine computers being used by the secretaries, principal and deputy principals, accountant, manager, counsellor, librarian.

Apart from the human and material resources available in our school, there are also the following on-going programs and projects:

·          A school band specialized in folk dances

·         An ecology education program called “Eco-School”

·         An annual Mathematics contest called “In Memoriam”

·         A practical activities program called “Eco Club Origami”

·         The creation of three annual magazines called “Thoughts”, “Drops of Life”, “Eco Pulse”

·         Sports competitions (handball, football, basketball)

·         A project called “The Road Towards a Peaceful Holiday”, intended for secondary school pupils who flunked first semester, supported by the members of the “Civitan 14” Club

The fields in which our school is interested as regards training the teaching staff are management, non-formal education, European citizenship; these are also the priorities of our school for the 2014-2020 period.

Taking into consideration the European Union’s interest in the cooperation and the improvement of the relationships between states and the promoting of European principles and values, the “Mihai Eminescu” Technical High School establishes the following priorities:

1.      To send a group of four teachers to study and train in the educational management field;

2.     To send a group of four teachers to study and train in the non-formal education field;

3.     To send two teachers to carry out activities designed to improve teaching methods and share examples of good practice;

4.     To send two teachers to carry out activities designed to meet the special needs of students;

5.     To send two teachers to carry out activities designed to build interdisciplinary and trandisciplinary skills;

6.     To send two teachers to carry out activities designed to promote intercultural education, particularly the fight against racism and xenophobia;

7.     To send one teacher to study and train in the field of information and communication technology.

The priorities mentioned above are necessary because there are certain deficiencies regarding the improvement of these types of needs in our school.

 

 

 

Spain

ES Los Cabezuelos is located in the surroundings  of Arcos de la Frontera, province of Cádiz, Region of Andalucía, in South Spain.

It is a Public Secondary School, students are from 12 to 16, some of them arrive to 17; there are 320 students and 30 teachers;  4 grades; no boarding, students are collected every morning from the countryside and a couple of small villages, everybody comes to school by bus.

The School tries to encourage the students to learn to the maximum potential and to become productive, responsible members of a new Society for a new century and ready for a new European market.

We organize visits to foreign countries and have had a Student Exchange with Poland.

Italy

The ITT “G. Malafarina” is a technical school for surveyors, computer programmers and electricians in Soverato, in the South of Italy. Soverato is a small town of about 10,000 people; in the summer it trebles its population with the coming back home of families living abroad or in the North of Italy because of work commitments, and it is also a Summer tourist resort. The 500 students, aged 14-19, come from the surrounding villages, from a range of 50 km, they belong to middle and lower social classes, whose standard of living is based on agriculture, handicraft, fishing and some tourist activities. The school is also attended by sons of non-Eu citizens and some students with special needs. The main problem of the rural area where the school operates is the high rate of unemployment.

The main goals of our school are: to promote the acquiring of the fundamental principles of the Italian Constitution, to prepare the students for an active role in a democratic society, to promote a European awareness of the different cultural values to achieve a greater mutual understanding. These objectives will contribute, through the use of the new technologies, to a new dimension in order to teach the new values and integrate themselves in the new European dimension of the modern citizen. This new approach stimulates the creativity of the students and of their teachers, reducing the percentages of scholastic failure or of social exclusion and favouring equal sex opportunities in order to consolidate acquired experiences and share them in the future. The intent of ITT Malafarina is to lead students and teachers to follow the activities connected with the objectives, to bring into forth the common values of the European citizen, to share ideas, to apply curriculum concepts and methods. It represents even a step towards a general enriching of the implied cultural and social values. Our teaching methods adhere to an innovative European Education Syllabus according to which informatics, the environmental concern, the learning of foreign languages are incentivated in order to promote international job integration. In our school students are provided with competences, effective trainings, through individualized support programmes for students aged 14 – 19, curriculum subject competitions, both national and international certificated foreign languages and technical stages, cultural exchanges by joining Comenius Bilateral and Multilateral School Partnerships, combining their inquiring minds with the respect for their national identity. As a matter of fact the school slogan is “tradition and future”.

Greece

TRIKERI HIGH SCHOOL JUNIOR AND SENIOR is a modern building, located 500 metres away from Trikeri, a picturesque village at the edge of South Pelion, surrounded by wild nature and the sea of the Pagasitic Gulf from the one side and the Aegean Sea from the other side, finishing at Agia Kyriaki, a suburb that ends in front of the coast, facing the island of Trikeri. The basic occupation of the people of this area is mainly the sea, such as fishermen and sailors.

It contains 30 students aged from 13- 18 years old. They are exactly 15 ones in the 3 classes of High School Junior and 15 ones in the 3 classes of High School Senior (Lyceum). There are 17 teachers of the needed specialties working at this school.
